Privacy Policy
1. Policy
rProcess provides this Privacy Policy to let you know our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information through www.rprocess.ai (the “Site”) and any other websites, features, applications, widgets, or online services that are owned or controlled by rProcess and that post a link to this Privacy Policy (together, the “Service”), as well as any information rProcess collects offline in connection with the Service. We may combine information collected from any of our Sites, the Service generally, or offline.
By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the information collection, disclosure, and use practices described in this Privacy Policy. Please also review our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Service. You can request a copy by emailing info@rprocess.net.
2. Information Collected
Users of the Service may be Clients (anyone using rProcess to request services) or Independent Contractors (companies or individuals offering services). Independent Contractors may also operate as a Team (a legally recognized entity that can hire/contract).
2.1 Information You Provide to Us
2.1.1 Personal Information
When you use the Site or Services, we may collect information that identifies you as an individual and can be used to contact you (“Personal Information”), such as your name, email address, postal address, and phone number.
2.1.2 Payment Information & Identity Verification
If you use the Service to make or receive payments, we will collect payment information (for example, payment card or PayPal account details, billing address). We may also collect information required for tax reporting (taxpayer identification number, date of birth) and may request verification documents (government-issued ID, billing statement) where required by law.
General Audience
The Service is intended for a general audience and for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected information about a child under 18, contact info@rprocess.net and we will use commercially reasonable efforts to delete it.
Non-Identifying Information / Usernames
We may also collect Non-Identifying Information such as zip codes, demographic data, usage information, and other project-related data. We treat usernames as Non-Identifying Information; usernames are public and viewable by other rProcess Users.
Combination of Personal and Non-Identifying Information
When we combine Non-Identifying Information with Personal Information in a way that identifies you, we will treat the combined data as Personal Information.
2.2 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third parties (for example, if you sign in with or connect a third-party social account). When combined with information we collect, we will treat it according to this Privacy Policy.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
We and our third-party service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including browser and operating system, referring URLs, search terms that led you to the Service, pages visited, and other common web signals. We may combine this data with other information we hold to improve the Service, marketing, analytics, and site functionality.
Device Identifiers & Location
We collect Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and other unique device identifiers. Some mobile providers may provide information about the physical location of your device.
Technologies We Use
- Cookies — persistent and session cookies to save preferences, authentication, and for analytics and feature support. Disabling cookies may limit Service functionality.
- Web Storage / Flash — certain browsers or plug-ins may provide additional storage mechanisms similar to cookies.
- Web Beacons & Tracking Tags — tiny invisible images or tags used by us and partners to measure content effectiveness, count visitors, and monitor navigation.
- Embedded Scripts — scripts that collect interaction data (e.g., clicked links). These are temporary and deleted when session ends.
Tracker / Gig View
As part of certain projects, we may collect information about an Independent Contractor’s work, including screenshots of visual output (“Screenshot”) and activity metrics (mouse clicks, keyboard strokes). This feature (known as Tracker or “Gig View”) is shared with the relevant Client and Team managers. Contractors are notified each time we capture Gig View data. Contractors may block or delete screenshots for a recorded interval, but doing so may affect payment for that interval. Aggregated Gig View data may be used for product improvement and analytics.
User Profiles, Community Content & Testimonials
You may create a public Profile containing Personal Information, portfolio items, and work history. Profiles and forum posts may be publicly visible based on your privacy settings. Anything you post publicly (forums, comments, testimonials) may be accessed and reused by others; public posts cannot always be removed. To request removal of content, contact info@rprocess.net.
3. Use and Retention of Information
We use information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and complete transactions;
- Process registrations, verify information for compliance and internal business needs;
- Send administrative communications, newsletters, marketing or promotional materials (you can opt out – see “Your Choices” below);
- Tailor content, offers, and the Service experience for you;
- Administer and develop business relationships with you or your organization;
- Assess applications for Independent Contractor work and prepare governmental or internal reports; and
- Use information for purposes disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent.
Unless you request deletion, we retain collected information for at least 5 years and may retain it longer as needed for business and legal purposes.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We may share aggregated Non-Identifying Information and, in limited cases, Personal Information as described below or when you consent:
4.1 Independent Contractors & Clients
We share relevant Independent Contractor information with Clients and Agencies for project applications and performance (profiles, work history, gig discussions). If a Contractor is suspended, we may share that status with Clients who have worked with or considered that Contractor.
4.2 Service Providers
We may engage third-party service providers (payment processors, analytics, hosting, fraud detection, advertising partners, maintenance providers) who may have access to Personal Information to perform services on our behalf.
Third-Party Offers & Co-Marketing
If you agree to receive third-party offers, or ask us to share information with a third party, we will disclose Personal Information to that third party and it will be subject to that party’s privacy practices.
Legal & Investigative Purposes
We may disclose information where required by law (including tax reporting), to respond to subpoenas or legal process, to cooperate with law enforcement or investigations, to protect rights or safety, or to prevent illegal or harmful activity.
Internal Transfers & Business Changes
We may share information with corporate affiliates, and in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or sale of assets. You will be notified of material changes in ownership and how your Personal Information is used.
Sweepstakes & Promotions
If you enter promotions, your Personal Information may be disclosed for prize fulfillment, winner announcements, or as required by official rules.
5. Third-party Analytics Providers, Ad Servers & Similar Parties
We (and our partners) may work with advertisers, ad networks, analytics companies, and other vendors to understand traffic and performance, serve ads, and measure ad effectiveness. These parties may set and access their own tracking technologies (cookies, web beacons) on your device and may use information to show targeted ads across the web. Some providers participate in industry self-regulatory programs – you can learn about opt-outs at Network Advertising and AboutAds.info.
6. Your Choices and Opting Out
Registered users can update communication preferences in their account settings. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. We may still send transactional account messages (e.g., security or billing notices) even if you opt out of marketing.
To opt out of text messages, reply STOP. Push notification preferences are controlled via the mobile app settings.
7. Changing Your Information or Closing Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate. If you request access to all personal information you’ve submitted, we will respond within 30 days. You can close your account through the Service (Settings → User Settings → Close my account). While we will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor deletion requests, some content may persist (for example the archives, backups, or content you have posted publicly). Public content and copies shared with others may not be removable.
8. Security
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect information we collect, including industry-standard transport security (TLS) for transmission. Sensitive information transmitted to us is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, and rProcess cannot guarantee absolute security. By submitting information you agree to hold rProcess harmless for any privacy breaches beyond our reasonable control.
9. International Transfers of Personal Information
rProcess is a United States company. If you provide information from outside the U.S., that information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. By using our Service you consent to such transfers. rProcess is certified under the Safe Harbor privacy framework for transfers from the EEA and Switzerland, to the extent applicable.
10. Links to Other Sites
Our Service contains links to third-party websites. Links are not endorsements and third-party sites may have different privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
11. Phishing
Phishing sites mimic legitimate sites to steal information. For guidance, see the Federal Trade Commission’s page on phishing: FTC – Phishing. If you suspect you’ve received an email pretending to be rProcess, report it to info@rprocess.net.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time; changes are effective when posted. If there are material changes to how we treat Personal Information, we will notify you via the Service prior to the change and may also email you. We will use Personal Information in a manner consistent with the policy in effect when the information was submitted unless you consent to a revised policy.
